Maine Kayak’s two-day Boothbay Harbor coastal inn retreat begins with a full day of sea kayaking, exploring the harbors and coves of Johns Bay and the outlet of the Damariscotta River. We stop for a seaside picnic lunch and rest for the afternoon paddle to the beautiful southern tip of Ocean Point in East Boothbay and land at Smuggler’s Cove Inn. The coastal inn provides all amenities including resort lodging and a gourmet dinner (on your own). After a hearty breakfast, the second day of paddling is spent exploring Boothbay, Damariscotta River and Johns Bay on our way to the take-out at historic Colonial Fort William Henry State Park.

My wife and I did a two day inn to inn trip. Jeff Bubois was our guide – he was absolutely fabulous!!…We saw loons, cormorants, a bald eagle, seals and harbor porpoises to name a few…Jeff carefully navigated a wonderful tour of Booth Bay for us and we managed just over 14 miles of sublime paddling. These guys really listen to what it is that you would like to do and make it happen. Again, can’t say enough good things about Jeff – You Rock Dude!!!
