Kayak Rentals
You haven’t experienced the Maine coast until you’ve done it form the seat of a kayak! Escape the everyday and immerse yourself in the natural splendor of Maine’s rocky coastline. Midcoast Maine kayak rentals are available at our downtown Boothbay Harbor Rental Shop and our scenic Colonial Pemaquid State Park Rental Shop.
Kayak Rental Selection
We rent a wide variety of high quality single and tandem kayaks for paddling of all ages and skill levels.
Flexible Rental Times
Kayak rentals are available from 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week, for 2 hour, 4 hour, 8 hour and multi-day rates.
Two Rental Locations
We provide kayak rentals from our two rental shops – downtown Boothbay Harbor and Colonial Pemaquid State Park.
Everything you need
We provide you with all the equipment you need, navigational chart, a safety lecture and orientation as well as tips on where to go.
On-Site Kayaking
Rent a kayak and launch right from our Boothbay Harbor or Pemaquid shop. No trailer, no roof rack — just gear up and get on the water.
Delivery or Pick-up
We offer a $20 flat rate delivery charge within 10 miles of either shop location and 75¢/mile beyond that or you can pick-up for free.
Rental Pricing
Paddle straight from our Boothbay Harbor or Pemaquid Harbor shops with an on-site rental — or take it to the destination of your choice with a multi-day rental. Free pickup at either shop or we will deliver it to you for a small fee.
Single Kayak
Delivery 10mi = $20 then 75¢/mi
Tandem Kayak
Delivery 10mi = $20 then 75¢/mi
Paddleboard
Delivery 10mi = $20 then 75¢/mi
Rental Shop Locations
Maine Kayak has two rental shop locations – one is on the waterfront in downtown Boothbay Harbor and the other is at the Colonial Pemaquid State Park. Both locations offer unique paddling experiences and the option for beginners to stay in sheltered, calm waters.
