Your rental includes all of the equipment and gear to enjoy your time on the water and our knowledgable staff will recommend routes and destinations. Choose a single or tandem kayak or stand-up paddleboard for our adventure today!
Kayaking Trips
Leave the land behind for a while and explore Maine’s majestic rocky coast on our guided kayak tours. Traverse bays rich with wildlife and paddle through the same harbor that witnessed maritime history for over 400 years, all while surrounded by the Maine coast’s stunning landscapes. We offer 2 Hour, Half-Day, Full Day and Multi-Day explorations of the scenic and storied waters of Pemaquid Harbor and Johns Bay.

Come visit us at Maine Kayak’s Rental & Trip shop on the beachfront in historic Colonial Pemaquid State Park. We have kayak and paddleboards to rent or join one of our daily or multi-day sea kayak tours for a guided ocean adventure. The calm waters of Pemaquid Harbor and Johns Bay provide ample opportunity to spot wildlife, learn rich maritime history, and explore Maine’s rocky, pine dotted coastline. We want to make your sea kayaking or paddleboarding experience an adventure to remember!
Kayak & Paddleboard Rentals
We offer single and tandem kayaks and paddleboards for rent hourly, daily or weekly from our Colonial Pemaquid State Park shop.
Wide Rental Selection
We offer a wide variety of single and tandem kayaks as well as paddleboards for your paddling pleasure.
Flexible Rental Times
Paddleboard and Kayak rentals are available from 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week, for 2 hour, 4 hour, 8 hour and weekly rates.
Two Rental Locations
We provide kayak and paddleboard rentals from our two shops – downtown Boothbay Harbor and Colonial Pemaquid State Park.
Your Own Adventure
Enjoy an abundance of wildlife, peaceful tidal estuaries, rocky coastline and pristine islands as you explore the majestic Maine coast.
Everything you need
We provide you with all the equipment you need, navigational chart, a safety lecture and orientation as well as tips on where to go.
Delivery or Pick-up
We offer a $20 flat rate delivery charge within 10 miles of either shop location and 75¢/mile beyond that or you can pick-up for free.

Multi-Day Trips
Our overnight adventures include 2 or 4 day Inn to Inn trips and island camping. Or visit us twice with the Two Bays in Two Days trip.
Multiple Locations
We provide sea kayak trips from multiple locations – downtown Boothbay Harbor, Johns Bay and Muscongus Bay.
