The beginner whitewater kayaking course will begin on day one with dry land and flatwater lessons on outfitting a kayak to the student’s individual needs, entering and wet exiting, rescue techniques, proper paddle placement, and safe boating form. Day Two will introduce students to whitewater reading and terms and focus on skills such as boat spins and eddy turns, strokes, leans, and boat balance as students are introduced to easy moving water and end the afternoon on class I-II whitewater.   Day Three will focus on advanced moving water strokes such as reverse, duffecs, and draws.   An exciting paddle of class I-II whitewater finishes out the afternoon of the third day.
