Maine Kayak offers hourly, daily and weekly kayak and paddleboard rentals with access to easy beach launches or free delivery to your Midcoast, Maine seaside cottage.
Kayak & Paddleboard Rentals
Leave the land behind for a while and explore Maine’s majestic rocky coast on a paddleboard or kayak. We offer Kayak and Paddleboard rentals from our downtown Boothbar Harbor shop and our Colonial Pemaquid State Park shop.
Wide Rental Selection
We offer a wide variety of single and tandem kayaks as well as paddleboards for your paddling pleasure.
Flexible Rental Times
Paddleboard and Kayak rentals are available from 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week, for 2 hour, 4 hour, 8 hour and weekly rates.
Two Rental Locations
We provide kayak and paddleboard rentals from our two shops – downtown Boothbay Harbor and Colonial Pemaquid State Park.
Your Own Adventure
Enjoy an abundance of wildlife, peaceful coves, rocky coastline and pristine islands as you explore the majestic Maine coast.
Everything you need
We provide you with all the equipment you need, navigational chart, a safety lecture and orientation as well as tips on where to go.
Delivery or Pick-up
We offer a $20 flat rate delivery charge within 10 miles of either shop location and 75¢/mile beyond that or you can pick-up for free.
Rental Shop Locations
Maine Kayak has two rental shop locations – one is on the waterfront in downtown Boothbay Harbor and the other is at the Colonial Pemaquid State Park. Both locations offer unique paddling experiences and the option for beginners to stay in sheltered, calm waters.
Boothbay Harbor
Come visit us at the new Maine Kayak Rental & Trip shop on the waterfront in downtown Boothbay Harbor. We have kayak and paddleboards to rent or join a daily sea kayak trip for a guided ocean adventure. Start your paddle in downtown Boothbay Harbor and weave your way through lobster bouys, hidden gems and historic landmarks as you explore the rugged coastline and enjoy a one of a kind sea kayaking or paddleboarding experience.

Pemaquid Harbor
Maine Kayak and Paddleboard rentals are offered from our beach side rental shop at Colonial Pemaquid State Park, right at the entrance to Pemaquid Harbor from Johns Bay. Enjoy an abundance of wildlife, peaceful coves, rocky coastline and pristine islands as you explore Pemaquid Harbor and Johns Bay on your sea kayak or paddleboard.
